Idong on a Monday morning

There’s no better way to start the week off than with some Early Morning Bass (EMB) fishing and this morning was no exception.  I headed back out to Idong Lake and fished another area, which I’m going to show you below (tell me that doesn’t have bass written all over it):

You can see how crystal clear the water is right now in the last two pictures.  Also, if you look at those last two, I was able to wade all the way out to that big patch of grass and I was only up to my waist and could still easily see the bottom, that’s how clear the water is.  And the bass were hungry this morning:

I caught seven out there today; the above three were the biggest of the lot.  I tried a chatterbait for a while but it kept on getting hung up in all the weeds under the water so I switched back to my old standby, a 5-inch, black Senko.  Definitely a good Monday morning smile_regular

Way to go Nomad!! :) How deep is the water in that area? If I remember correctly, which is a big if LOL, it’s pretty shallow on that end of the lake.

I was able to wade out all the way to that big patch of grass(waist deep)…but there were some pretty deep holes/areas over to the right of it.

Another successful morning Nomad and a great way to start the week.

Love the shot of the dragon fly in the second photo

LOL Steve! That dragonfly was totally unintentional but it does make for a better picture, doesn’t it?

lol, I actually thought that was a helicopter because they do fly out in that general area quite a bit. Maybe it’s time for some new glasses!

    Rob,
At first glance I thought it was a helicopter also.

Well, only 8 more days to go out here, I’ll be home on Thursday week but won’t be doing too much fishing this time home as my Mother is visiting Korea for a couple of weeks.
