Fall has arrived

We wanted cooler temperatures, well, we got them and how.  When I got to the river this morning, the wind was blowing hard, it was raining and, it was cold enough for me to need a windbreaker.  The cold front has definitely affected the fish, because I didn’t have one single bite on a Senko out there.  Not even a dink!

So I put on the last white/red spinner bait I have, and ended up catching three total.  Two of them were a pound or less (may have even been the same fish), and just as the rain really started coming down and I thought about going to work a little early, this bass nailed the lure and made my morning.

Nice going. I hope the conditions improve by the weekend. How was the water clarity?

    Mike,

The green stuff is gone (at least around that area) and the water clarity was about average for the river. I don’t know how much today’s rains will affect it though…

Very nice looking bass Nomad, and good job on catching a few even with a cold front coming through.

I spoke to my wife a couple of hours ago and she said the weather was very hot and sunny down South….about 30c / 86f. I guess your cold weather front will heading South later today

    Thanks, Steve.

Hopefully things will improve over the weekend and it looks like it’ll warm back up next week.

Yes, nice fish Nomad. And yes, it looks like Fall is here, for a few days anyway.
