Since today is a Korean holiday, I knew that my regular spots would be crowded with carp fishermen so I went back to that big rocky area where I got skunked twice in a row earlier this spring. However, Rob and I did really well in that area right around the same time last year so I thought I’d give it a shot.
The bass wouldn’t touch anything while it was still dark but got active after it got light. I caught 4 dinks plus the one above (on 5-inch, black Senkos) and wish I could have stayed out longer since the action was picking up but it was time to head on to work. For those of you heading out this weekend, good luck ![]()
Nice fish Nomad! And that’s definitely a good sign for that particular area.
Way to go Nomad. Finding the fish is almost as much fun as catching them.
Unfortunately, I’ll be working a 12 hour night shift beginning tonight for the next week, so I won’t be on the water this weekend. You guys leave some for me. The good thing is, I should get several days off after this is finished so I’m looking forward to making up some fishing time then.
Rob,
Thank you sir and yes, it is a good sign
Mike,
Sorry to hear about the 12-hour (night) shifts. I seriously doubt I’ll go out at all this weekend; instead, I’ll more than likely catch up on some sleep, spend some time with the family and get stuff done around the house.
Good going Nomad!!!!
